This elegant 18kt white gold Cabochon Emerald pendant is a statement piece. The emerald is 9.78 carats, it has baguette-cut and round diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.90 carats. The gemstones can but cut in different ways.  The ones that you see the most are the faceted cut, like the diamonds.  It shows more inside the stone and you see the facets of the stone, which brings a lot of brilliancy.  Another way is cabochon cut.  The cabochon cut is rounded on top, its very smooth and the stone looks taller on the top side than the bottom.
